Geumcheon-gu, 2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Outstanding Donor Appreciation Plaque Award Ceremony

Geumcheon-gu One-Room Association, Kim Hee-jae and Hee-rang Byeol, Naeil Internal Medicine Clinic, Korea Liquor Sales, Myeonghwa Industry, Rapigen, Sanho Machinery, Earth Environment Development, Taeil CNT, Hanil Environment, and 10 total companies and organizations receive district mayor's appreciation plaques

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on the 25th that it awarded plaques of appreciation and commendation plaques to outstanding donors of the '2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign' at the district office auditorium.

The 'Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign' is an intensive fundraising campaign conducted by Geumcheon-gu in cooperation with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea every winter for three months to support low-income families.

Through the campaign, donations and goods worth approximately 1.53 billion KRW were collected from November 15 last year to February 14 this year.

The donated funds and goods are used to support the livelihood and medical needs of vulnerable neighbors such as basic livelihood security recipients, single-parent families, elderly living alone, and those in welfare blind spots.

This year, the criteria for selecting recipients of the Mayor’s plaque of appreciation and the Seoul Community Chest of Korea commendation plaque were 'continuous donors,' 'high-value donors,' and 'notable cases.'

The Mayor’s plaque of appreciation was awarded to a total of 10 companies and organizations, including Geumcheon One-room Association, Kim Hee-jae and Hee-rang Byeol, Naeil Internal Medicine Clinic, Daehan Liquor Sales, Myeonghwa Industry, Rapigen, Sanho Machinery, Earth Environment Development, Taeil CNT, and Hanil Environment.

Recipients of the Seoul Community Chest of Korea commendation plaque included three individuals?Galilee Church, Guri Usol Daycare Center, Director Kim Young-seok (E-Plant Dental Clinic), Nammun Church, Daeryung Technotown 18th Operations Committee, Doksan 2-dong Saemaul Women's Association, Subong Distribution, Sunheung Anssi Yangdo Gongpa Jonghoe, Shin Haja, and Oh Jae-seok (Kosamart)?and seven companies and organizations.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “The sharing of donors who participated in the Warm Winter Campaign has been a great help to the neighbors in need in Geumcheon-gu,” and added, “I thank many people who practiced sharing for their neighbors despite the economic crisis.”
