On the 27th, Shin Young-hee, the chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, dismissed the arrest warrant for Kim, stating, "Although the matter is serious, considering the circumstances leading to the crime, his attitude during the investigation and interrogation, the fact that he is taking medication due to difficulty controlling his emotions, that he is caring for his elderly mother, and his pledge to sincerely cooperate with the investigation and trial, it is difficult to recognize the necessity and appropriateness of detention."

Mr. A is accused of calling the Supreme Court civil affairs office on the 24th and threatening to kill a Supreme Court justice in relation to his own case.

The police identified the suspect after a report from the Supreme Court and arrested Mr. A at his residence in Wonju, Gangwon Province, on the 25th.
