On the afternoon of the 27th, the Green Justice Party held its 5th National Committee meeting and announced that it reviewed and resolved matters including the evaluation of the 22nd National Assembly election, the special election account settlement, and the dissolution of the electoral alliance party.

Following the resolution on that day, the Green Justice Party returned to being two separate parties, the Justice Party and the Green Party, as before the general election.

Previously, the Justice Party, which held six seats in the National Assembly, joined forces with the Green Party in February ahead of the general election to launch the Green Justice Party, but failed to secure even a single seat in either constituency or proportional representation, becoming an extra-parliamentary party in the 22nd National Assembly.

At the National Committee meeting, the Green Justice Party evaluated the results of the recent general election and selected tasks such as establishing new leadership, discovering and nurturing popular politicians, reorganizing the party structure, and devising strategies to regain the traditional progressive party support base.

Spokesperson Kim Min-jung said in a briefing, "We humbly accept the painful result of failing to enter the National Assembly and will engage in deeper reflection and self-examination," adding, "Through vital discussions and debates to explore the party’s future direction, we will establish new language and methodologies for progressive parties."
