"Not Considered as Infringement or Interference with Marital Life"
Dismissing Compensation Lawsuit and Plaintiff Bearing Litigation Costs
YouTuber Aori (Kim Min-young, 33) lost a lawsuit for damages filed against her ex-husband, race car driver Seo Joo-won (30), and his lover.
On the 27th, according to the Daegu Family Court's 3rd Family Division, the court dismissed Aori's lawsuit for damages against Seo's lover, A, and ruled that the plaintiff must bear the litigation costs. Aori's side did not appeal the ruling, so it became final as is.

Aori and Seo revealed their relationship in 2018 and got married in November of the same year. The two divorced in 2022, four years after their marriage.
After the divorce, Aori filed a lawsuit for damages against Seo's lover, A, claiming that Seo committed adultery during their marriage.
At the time, Aori argued that the reason for the divorce was Seo's infidelity, but Seo countered that he met another woman after the family had already broken down.
Last year, Seo appeared on the YouTube channel "Detective Karakula" and admitted to meeting another woman during the marriage period but said, "From my perspective, the family was broken as of March 3, 2022," adding, "It was wrong to meet a woman before the divorce was finalized, but the affair was not the reason for the divorce. We divorced due to personality differences."
Aori had previously expressed confidence in winning the lawsuit through personal broadcasts, but the court sided with Seo's claim.
The court stated regarding Seo and A's relationship, "The two (Aori and Seo) had exchanged several text messages discussing detailed matters of property division based on the premise of divorce," and "In March 2022, the plaintiff sent a written agreement specifying the method of property division based on divorce to Seo through a lawyer."
The court added, "Although the plaintiff and Seo had not yet divorced, it is difficult to see that the conjugal life, which is the essence of marriage, was substantially maintained. Therefore, even if A had sexual relations with Seo after that, it cannot be considered an act that infringes upon or obstructs the maintenance of conjugal life," and "Considering these circumstances, the evidence submitted by the plaintiff is insufficient to recognize that A's actions caused the breakdown of the marriage between the plaintiff and Seo."
Aori currently runs a YouTube channel "Aori" with about 760,000 subscribers and is also involved in fashion and beauty businesses. She has appeared on the gaming channel OGN's "Hearthstone Aororor" Seasons 1 and 2 and SBS TV's "Game Show Yuhinaknak."
Seo Joo-won became known through Channel A's dating reality program "Heart Signal" Season 1 in 2017.
