Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation and Nexon Co., Ltd. announced on the 26th that a portion of the sales proceeds from the 'MapleStory 20th Anniversary Commemorative Medal' was donated to Seoul National University Children's Hospital.
MapleStory is Nexon's flagship game. In August last year, the Minting Corporation and Nexon released a commemorative medal to celebrate the 20th anniversary of MapleStory's launch.
This medal is the first product made by the Minting Corporation based on game intellectual property rights, incorporating the maple leaf symbolizing MapleStory and the orange mushroom character into the design, which attracted great interest from game users.
The Minting Corporation and Nexon agreed that a portion of the sales proceeds from the commemorative medal would be used for donations to help children.

Sung Chang-hoon, President of the Minting Corporation, said, "It is meaningful that a portion of the proceeds generated from the commemorative medal project can be used in a significant way," and added, "The Minting Corporation will continue to devote itself to spreading positive influence to bring hope and happiness to the lives of children, the future dream trees."
