Busan Northern Office of Education Collaborates with Related Organizations to Prevent Child Abuse

Council of Kindergarten Directors, Police Officers, and Public Officials Participation

Busan Northern Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Beom-gyu) announced on the 26th that it will hold the ‘2024 School Year Child Abuse Prevention Related Agencies Council’ for 135 participants, including kindergarten and related agency officials, using an online video conference at 3 p.m. on the 29th.


The council will be attended by child abuse prevention officers (principals, vice principals) and teachers in charge from public and private kindergartens, child abuse prevention police officers, child abuse dedicated public officials, and representatives from the Busan Western Child Protection Agency.


The Northern Office of Education operates the council to establish cooperative measures for child abuse prevention and to build an effective response system.


Participants will share an understanding of the roles of related agencies and cases related to child abuse, and explore child abuse prevention measures such as child abuse prevention education, response to child abuse incidents, and guidance on the installation and operation of video information processing devices.


Kim Beom-gyu, Superintendent of the Northern Office of Education, said, “This council will be a meaningful time for kindergartens and related agencies to join forces in preventing child abuse,” and added, “The Northern Office of Education will take a leading role in creating an environment where young children can grow up safely and healthily.”
