HD Hyundai Infracore announced on the 25th that it participated in the construction equipment exhibition 'Intermat 2024' held in Paris, France from the 24th to the 27th (local time), where it held a launch event for the eco-friendly 5ℓ 'DX05' and 7.5ℓ 'DX08' engines.

The engines unveiled this time are new products that meet the latest European and US emission regulations, Stage 5 and Tier 4 Final. They are scheduled to be released worldwide starting in Europe by the end of the year.

In addition to conventional diesel fuel, they can also use hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO), a next-generation bio oil, as fuel.

HD Hyundai Infracore set up a booth and also introduced eco-friendly power products such as electrified battery packs and hydrogen engines.

In particular, the electrified battery pack features a structural design that increases energy density, making it advantageous for long-term equipment operation, and applies a thermal runaway prevention design to enhance safety. It can be used in various fields beyond construction equipment.

They also showcased the 11ℓ hydrogen combustion engine 'HX12.' The hydrogen engine emits no carbon dioxide and offers higher output compared to electric batteries, making it suitable for large construction machinery and off-road equipment that require long operating hours.

HD Hyundai Infracore plans to begin demonstration operations of hydrogen engines for power generation in the second half of this year and expand the lineup to large engines of 22ℓ or more in the future.

Jo Young-cheol, CEO of HD Hyundai Infracore, said, "We will continue to do our best in developing eco-friendly power solutions."
