Jin Woochang, Fire Instructor at Jeonnam Fire Academy, Honored with '1st Place' at National Competition

Grand Prize Winner of the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award

Highly Praised Lecture on the Theme 'Read the Smoke'

Jin Woo-chang, a firefighter instructor at Jeonnam Fire Service Academy, won first place at the 29th Central Fire Service Education Innovation Competition hosted by the Central Fire Service Academy on the 25th, receiving the Excellence Award from the Minister of the Interior and Safety.

This competition began in 1996 as the "1st National Fire Service Academy Instructor Training Competition" and has greatly contributed to discovering and nurturing professional fire service instructors by reflecting the educational needs of fire service personnel in response to rapidly changing disaster environments.

In this competition, 14 representatives selected from fire service academies nationwide and city/provincial fire headquarters participated, competing in lecture skills and knowledge.

Firefighter instructor Jin Woo-chang received high praise for his lecture titled "Read the Smoke: F(fire), G(gas), I(ignition) Threatening the Scene," emphasizing the importance of identifying smoke characteristics at fire scenes to ensure the safety of on-site personnel.

As a result of this competition, Firefighter Instructor Jin will participate in the Public HRD Contest, the largest public institution competition in the second half of this year (hosted by the National Human Resources Development Institute), and will also take part in government agency initiatives proposing public policies in the fire and disaster sectors.

Moon Byung-woon, head of the Fire Service Academy, stated, "We will continue to strive to improve the quality of fire service education," adding, "We will do our best to cultivate strong fire service talents in the field to provide the best fire services to the public."
