On the 25th, the heads of major organizations in the Pohang area visited the 1st Marine Division to encourage the military personnel and deliver consolation money.

On this day, Mayor Lee Kang-deok and other key institutional leaders of Pohang City encouraged the soldiers who are dedicated to various training and preparations for the Marine Corps cultural festival at the Marine Corps 1st Division and the Marine Corps Education and Training Group, and provided consolation money.

They also held a meeting and watched a video to share understanding of the importance and mission of the Marine Corps in Pohang. During the subsequent luncheon, the leaders had a meal directly with the soldiers in the soldiers’ mess, spending time for conversation and communication.

Mayor Lee Kang-deok said, “The Marine Corps has a heavy responsibility for the security of citizens and disaster response in Pohang.
