Micron Technology, a U.S. company competing with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix in the memory semiconductor sector, will receive a subsidy of $6.1 billion under the U.S. CHIPS Act. This amounts to approximately 8.3875 trillion Korean won.
The White House announced on the 25th (local time) that it has decided to provide this amount of funding to support Micron's semiconductor factory construction in New York and Idaho.
