Interview with Teacher Taylor Swift Released
"Everything Turns to Gold When Sweepd Touches It"
On the 24th (local time), CBS aired an interview with Barbara Kolbeck, the music teacher of pop star Taylor Swift (34) during her elementary school years. According to the interview, Swift was always writing poetry. "Even during music class, and even at times when writing poetry was not allowed, she always did," Kolbeck said.
Kolbeck introduced herself as having taught Swift from first to fourth grade at Windcroft School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She said, "I was the first to teach her how to sing solo. I think I gave her a little encouragement or stimulus in what she was doing."
Heather Brown, Swift's homeroom teacher during elementary school, also said in the interview, "I still send her a Christmas card every year. You don't know how proud I was of her." Brown revealed, "Every student has special qualities, but Swift was a student who attracted people," adding, "She never lost focus and was always very honest and open-minded."
She continued, "Everything she touches turns to gold," expressing pride by saying, "It's really exciting to watch what will happen next."
Meanwhile, Swift earned a record-breaking revenue of over $1 billion (about 1.3769 trillion KRW) from her 'The Eras Tour' concert last year. At the Grammy Awards in February this year, she won the 'Album of the Year' award for the fourth time, setting the record for the most wins in history. Prior to this, Swift had already topped the 'Billboard 200' chart with 13 albums (including re-recorded albums).
