The KOSPI retreated to the 2620 level due to combined selling by foreigners and institutions, giving up most of the previous day's gains.
On the 25th, the KOSPI closed at 2,628.62, down 47.13 points (1.76%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals were net buyers with 871.1 billion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions were net sellers of 317.8 billion KRW and 538.9 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, insurance rose 1.14%. Meanwhile, electricity and electronics fell 3.26%. Manufacturing and machinery also closed down more than 2%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics closed at 76,300 KRW, down 2,300 KRW (2.93%) from the previous trading day. SK Hynix fell 5.12%. On this day, most of the top KOSPI stocks by market capitalization, except KB Financial and Kia, closed lower.
On the KOSPI, 361 stocks rose without any hitting the upper limit, while 491 stocks fell without any hitting the lower limit. Seventy-nine stocks ended unchanged.
The KOSDAQ closed at 853.26, down 8.97 points (1.04%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals were net buyers with 319.3 billion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions were net sellers of 245.8 billion KRW and 64.8 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, finance rose 2.83%. Meanwhile, general electricity and electronics fell 3.34%. Additionally, entertainment culture, other services, manufacturing, chemicals, and semiconductors declined more than 1%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM closed at 234,000 KRW, down 11,500 KRW (4.68%) from the previous trading day. EO Technics fell 5%. On the other hand, EcoPro rose 4.55%. In addition, Enchem rose more than 2%, and HLB rose more than 1%.
On the KOSDAQ, RS Automation hit the upper limit price, with 504 stocks rising. Meanwhile, 1,030 stocks fell without any hitting the lower limit, and 92 stocks ended unchanged.
