"A Hearty Table Filled with Love~"

On the 24th and 25th, the 'Making Side Dishes with Love' event was held at the Saemaeul Hall in Gwangjin-gu to share warmth with the underprivileged.

Organized by the Gwangjin-gu Saemaeul Women's Association (President Jeon Tae-yeon), the event was bustling with hands preparing food. About 30 members made 250 sets of three types of side dishes, practicing neighborly love and drawing attention.

On the second day, the 25th, Kim Kyung-ho, the mayor of Gwangjin-gu, also joined in to help. While packaging young radish kimchi, jangjorim (soy-braised beef), and stir-fried fish cakes together, they wished for the health of the underprivileged neighbors.

He also did not hesitate to encourage the Saemaeul Women's Association members who worked hard with sincere dedication.

Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, "Thanks to the devoted volunteer work of the Saemaeul Women's Association at every moment, our community is becoming warmer," and added, "I will do my utmost to create a happy Gwangjin-gu without welfare blind spots."

The prepared side dishes were delivered to elderly living alone, low-income households, and welfare facilities in the area. On May 18, to commemorate Family Month, a side dish-making event for senior citizens at community centers is planned.
