Daedong Hospital Selected for Busan City's 2024 Youth Startup Support Program

Daedong Hospital has been selected for the ‘2024 Cheongkkeul (Youth-Attractive) Enterprise Support Project’ organized by Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-jun) and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency (Director Song Bok-cheol).

Busan City conducted a pilot project last year based on a survey of local youth regarding their criteria for good jobs, such as wages/income, employment stability, and work-life balance, and this year it recruited companies interested in actively participating in the project.

Applications were accepted from companies with more than 10 employees located in Busan for over 3 years. After a first quantitative evaluation based on wage levels, employment stability, and company size, a youth evaluation team conducted a second on-site evaluation through interviews with HR managers and young employees.

Based on the application contents and the results of the first and second evaluations, a third qualitative evaluation was conducted focusing on personal development potential, work-life balance, organizational culture, and welfare benefits. A total of 61 companies were selected, with Daedong Hospital being the only local medical institution chosen.

Busan City will support the selected companies by providing dedicated Cheongkkeul managers, promotional marketing, job fairs connecting companies and youth, and company-university outreach presentations to strengthen corporate competitiveness, improve local youth’s perception of regional companies, and enhance motivation for employment in local enterprises.
