Jeongeup-si Holds 'Webtoon Contest' Until June 28... 9 Winners Selected

Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do is holding the "2nd Jeongeup Webtoon Contest" until June 28 to discover fresh and interesting content that can widely promote the region.

According to the city on the 25th, the theme of this webtoon contest is related to Jeongeup's culture, tourism, nature, history, and figures, and anyone in the nation is eligible to participate.

After screening, a total of nine finalists will be selected, with prize money totaling 10 million KRW: 5 million KRW for the grand prize (1 person), 2 million KRW for the excellence award (1 person), 1 million KRW for the merit award (2 people), and 200,000 KRW for the encouragement award (5 people).

The final selected works will be used for online postings on the website and SNS, as well as in newsletters.

Applications can be submitted via email, and detailed information can be found on the city’s website or by contacting the Culture and Arts Division's Cultural Projects Team.

Meanwhile, the "1st Jeongeup Webtoon Contest" held last year received a total of 37 submissions, with the grand prize awarded to "Geumeumdal Tea House," which was based on Ssanghwa Tea House.
