Hayunsoo, Busan Superintendent of Education, Launches School Commute Safety Campaign Near Sumi Elementary School

On the 25th, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced that Superintendent Ha Yun-su conducted a joint public-private school commute safety campaign near Sumi Elementary School in Suyeong-gu to establish a safe school commute route.


The campaign was held under the auspices of the Haeundae Office of Education, with the participation of Superintendent Ha Yun-su, education office officials, Kang Seong-tae, Mayor of Suyeong-gu, Kang O-saeng, Chief of Yeonje Police Station, and members of the Green Mothers' Association.


They greeted children on their way to school, inspected the Sumi Elementary School commute route, and carried out campaign activities targeting vehicle drivers and students. To create a safe school commute route, they provided guidance on the 'Enforcement of the Revised Road Traffic Act,' 'Compliance with Vehicle Speed Limits in School Zones,' and 'Prohibition of Illegal Parking.'


Following this, a meeting was held to discuss safety issues related to the school commute routes near Sumi Elementary School, Gwang-an Middle School, and Baehwa School.


Superintendent Ha Yun-su stated, “To create a safe route for our children to go to and from school with peace of mind, the interest and participation of parents, local residents, and related organizations are essential,” adding, “The Metropolitan Office of Education will do its utmost to secure the safety of students’ school commute routes in cooperation with them.”
