Saemirae "Democratic Party's 250,000 Won Support Fund is a Populist Policy"

Saeroun Mirae criticized the Democratic Party of Korea's proposal for a 250,000 won nationwide livelihood recovery support fund as a populist policy.

On the 25th, Lee Seok-hyun, the emergency committee chairman of Saeroun Mirae, said at the emergency committee meeting held at the Saeroun Mirae party office, "Representative Lee Jae-myung's 250,000 won support fund is political strife. The end of populism lacking fundamental consideration is the extinction of the nation."

The emergency committee chairman pointed out, "Please stop the wasteful and issue politics that gamble with people's livelihoods," and added, "From the controversy over Seoul annexation raised by the ruling party before the general election to the recent 250,000 won support fund policy, all are 'political strife' that takes care of the party, not the people."

Lee Seok-hyun, the new Future Emergency Committee Chairman, is giving an opening remark at the Emergency Committee meeting held at the new Future party headquarters on the 25th.

Emergency committee member Park Young-soon also argued, "The agenda setting of the meeting between Representative Lee Jae-myung and President Yoon Seok-youl should not become a political and strategic deal."

Committee member Park said, "There are reports that discussions on whether to include the Kim Geon-hee special prosecutor law and the Democratic Party's general election pledge to provide 250,000 won per citizen are prerequisites for the meeting or administrative targets," and added, "We must remember that the public is watching such strategic meetings with a cold eye."

He further stated, "The meeting between Representative Lee and President Yoon should be a productive meeting where the judgment on the failure of the Yoon Seok-youl administration's governance and the public sentiment for livelihood recovery in the April 10 general election are directly conveyed, and where the direction of the Yoon government’s governance is shifted according to the election sentiment."
