Dongyang Life Insurance Receives Gyeonggi Province Governor's Commendation for Supporting Jamboree Participants

Dongyang Life Insurance announced that it received a commendation from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province on the 25th in recognition of its efforts to support participants of the World Scout Jamboree last August.

During the '2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree' held in Saemangeum, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do in August last year, Dongyang Life Insurance actively supported the safety and convenience of jamboree members exposed to typhoon risks by opening the accommodations, lecture rooms, and gymnasium of the Dongyang Life Insurance Human Resources Development Center located in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province.

The Dongyang Life Insurance Human Resources Development Center, a specialized training facility visited by approximately 70,000 people annually for talent development education, was established in 1991 for the education of Dongyang Life Insurance employees and planners. It supports the education and activities of visitors through its accommodation building, which has about 170 studio-type rooms equipped with beds, shower facilities, TVs, and Wi-Fi.

A Dongyang Life Insurance official stated, “We are pleased that our efforts for the local community as a financial company practicing respect for life have led to good results,” and added, “We will continue to faithfully fulfill our role as a ‘guardian angel protecting customers’ health and happiness’ and actively practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to create a sustainable society.”

Meanwhile, Dongyang Life Insurance was also recognized in 2021 with a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety for providing the accommodation building of the Dongyang Life Insurance Human Resources Development Center as a residential treatment center supporting the living and treatment of asymptomatic and mild COVID-19 patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
