Guro-gu Mayor Mun Heon-il Joins the 'Bye Bye Plastic Challenge'

Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced on the 25th that Mayor Moon Heon-il of Guro-gu participated in the Bye Bye Plastic Challenge.

The Bye Bye Plastic Challenge is a nationwide campaign led by the Ministry of Environment to create a social atmosphere that reduces unnecessary plastic use and promotes the habitual use of reusable products.

Mayor Moon joined the challenge after being nominated by Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu.

Through his SNS post, Mayor Moon said, “Guro-gu is also joining the Bye Bye Plastic Challenge to reduce plastic use in daily life,” and added, “I hope everyone actively participates in reducing plastic use for a carbon-neutral city, Guro.”

He nominated Lee Seong-heon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, as the next participant.

Guro-gu is implementing various policies to reduce plastic use in daily life, such as installing tumbler washing machines in government buildings and providing reusable cup rental services during meetings and events to reduce disposable product use.
