[Concall] SK Hynix "12-Stack HBM3E Development Completed in Q3... Supply Next Year"

SK Hynix stated during the conference call following the Q1 earnings announcement that "the HBM3E product desired by customers this year is 8-layer," and added, "The 12-layer product will complete development in Q3 this year according to customer request schedules, and after customer certification, it will be stably supplied at the time when demand significantly increases next year."

They also explained, "The price of HBM3E reflects a premium compared to the existing HBM3, considering relatively higher performance, increased density, and cost increases," and added, "Based on industry-leading EUV productivity and the maturity of 1b nanometer technology, mass production of HBM3E is progressing smoothly, and considering the current progress, achieving yields similar to HBM3 in the near future is possible."

Furthermore, they said, "We are increasing production capacity for HBM3E and focusing company-wide efforts on productivity improvement activities such as yield and quality enhancements, so we expect it to be a more profitable product compared to previous ones."
