On the 24th, a commissioning ceremony for 25 resident promotional models in Gwanak-gu was held... Residents will serve as promotional models in various promotional materials to share news about district events and projects
"I feel both shy and excited to become a model alongside young friends at this age. I will do my best to widely promote how wonderful Gwanak-gu, where I live, is."
An elderly resident serving as a promotional model for Gwanak-gu said enthusiastically.
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) selected its first-ever resident promotional models this year and held an appointment ceremony on April 24.
This appointment of resident promotional models was carried out with the purpose that "residents, who are the main actors of all policies and projects, promoting the area can best express the local characteristics."
In February, the district conducted an open recruitment targeting those residing, studying, or working in Gwanak-gu. As a result, a total of 86 residents applied, and among them, 25 talented and passionate individuals were finally selected as Gwanak-gu resident promotional models.
In particular, this promotional model group was composed of 5 representatives from each generation (▲preschool children ▲students ▲youth ▲middle-aged and older adults ▲elderly) to allow diverse residents to participate in district administration. The term of activity for the selected promotional models is two years from the appointment date, with one possible renewal.
Going forward, the resident promotional models will not only serve as the main figures in various promotional materials announcing major district projects and events but will also participate as models in creating social network service (SNS) content and videos with high promotional impact.
Mayor Park Junhee said, "I am very hopeful and pleased as the mayor that the residents, who are the main actors of Gwanak-gu, will participate together in promoting district administration," adding, "I hope you build many precious and meaningful memories as promotional models representing the people of Gwanak-gu."
