Listening to Vivid Resident Voices... Rebooting as a Practical Police Cooperation Group

On the 24th, the Shinan Police Station in Jeonnam (Chief Lee Eulsin) held an inauguration ceremony for the Life Safety Association to promote community safety and activate resident participation in policing.

According to Shinan Police, the event was held with 70 members of the Life Safety Council and 20 police officers attending, aiming to revitalize the Life Safety Council to listen to the vivid voices of residents and to relaunch it as a practical police cooperation organization.

At the inauguration ceremony, Park Yeonsun, president of the Life Safety Association, expressed, “It is a new feeling that the Life Safety Association, which was previously under the Mokpo Police Station, now has the name of the Shinan Police Station Life Safety Association. We will actively cooperate with the police and do our best to enhance the safety of the local community.”

Lee Eulsin, chief of Shinan Police Station, said, “In an ever-changing security environment, a safe living environment free from crime can no longer be achieved by the police alone but through cooperative policing with local residents. We will actively cooperate with the Life Safety Council to promote resident participation in policing.”
