North Korean Delegation Visited Russia on the 13th

Russia and North Korea will cooperate in the fields of healthcare and science, including the training of medical personnel.

According to Interfax news agency on the 24th (local time), Mikhail Murashko, Russian Minister of Health, stated that when North Korean Minister of Health Jeong Mu-rim visited Russia for six days starting from the 13th, the two countries agreed to cooperate in healthcare, medical education, and scientific fields.


Minister Murashko said, "We are ready to cooperate with North Korea in various medical fields, including the training of medical personnel and medical tourism," adding that North Korean medical personnel will receive professional training in Russia, and North Korean residents will be able to receive treatment at Russian medical institutions.


The North Korean delegation reportedly visited the Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology under the Russian Ministry of Health, showing interest in procuring cancer treatments and training cancer specialists. They also visited the Priorov National Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics, the Kulakov National Medical Research Center of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Pirogov Medical University.
