Appointment of Seong Heon-gyu as Medical Welfare Director at Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service

"I Will Lead Industrial Accident Medical Services Through Specialized Rehabilitation"

Seong Heon-gyu, head of the Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service (KCOMWEL) Gyeongin Regional Headquarters, has been appointed as the Medical Welfare Director of KCOMWEL (Chairman Park Jong-gil).

The newly appointed Medical Welfare Director Seong Heon-gyu graduated from the Department of Social Welfare at Pusan National University and joined KCOMWEL in 1990.

Director Seong is an expert in industrial accident medical care and industrial accident insurance, having served as Administrative Vice President of Daegu Hospital, Director of the Management Support Bureau, Standing Member of the Industrial Accident Insurance Review Committee, Head of the Daegu Regional Headquarters, and Head of the Gyeongin Regional Headquarters.

He has led industrial accident medical services such as return to work through specialized rehabilitation and has worked to revitalize welfare services including retirement pensions, livelihood stabilization support, and childcare support.

Director Seong said, “I will do my best to become a happy partner who provides safety at the workplace and stability in life for all working people.”
