Advanced Logistics Technology Tour
The government of Uzbekistan visited the CJ Logistics Incheon Logistics Center to observe logistics technology.
On the 24th, CJ Logistics announced that high-ranking officials from Uzbekistan, including deputy ministers and directors-general, toured the Incheon GDC. This visit was part of a training program promoted by the National Human Resources Development Institute to strengthen Uzbekistan's e-government capabilities, conducted as a corporate site visit showcasing digital innovation cases.
CJ Logistics' Incheon GDC is a state-of-the-art global logistics center in Korea that has introduced the logistics robot system AutoStore. By analyzing consumer purchase forecasts, products from global clients are pre-stored at the Incheon GDC, located in a neighboring country to the final consumers, and then packed and shipped according to orders by country. Logistics robots find the products according to order information, deliver them to workers, and autonomously rearrange inventory.
Pecos, First Deputy Minister of the Digital Technology Department of Uzbekistan, said, "It was very impressive to see advanced robots equipped with both safety and efficiency reliably performing complex logistics processes," adding, "The advanced digital technologies experienced here in Korea will provide great inspiration for the e-government implementation currently underway in our country."
CJ Logistics plans to expand its cross-border express (CBE) business, including GDC, direct purchase, and reverse direct purchase, based on differentiated operational capabilities and advanced technology.
Jang Young-ho, head of CJ Logistics IFS Division, stated, "As direct and reverse direct purchases become more active worldwide, e-commerce borders are breaking down, and cross-border express is becoming a global trend," adding, "We will enhance the operation of Incheon GDC and successfully complete the Saudi GDC currently being established in the Middle East to expand the CBE logistics business."
