Security Guard Hits 12 Cars While Valet Parking at Yeouido Apartment

A security guard at an apartment complex in Yeouido, Seoul, collided with 12 parked cars while moving a resident's Mercedes-Benz vehicle, prompting a police investigation.

According to the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul on the 24th, at around 7:50 a.m. on the 22nd, security guard A was moving a resident's Mercedes-Benz vehicle to allow a car to exit at an apartment complex in Yeouido when he hit 12 parked cars in a row.

The apartment complex is known to operate by storing vehicle keys in the security office, with security guards moving cars as needed.

A stated to the police that the vehicle's speed suddenly increased and the brakes did not work.

A police official said, "Since the guard claims sudden unintended acceleration, we plan to request an analysis from the National Forensic Service."
