The city explained that it shared the progress and plans of 53 projects in four areas: participation and communication, jobs, housing, and welfare and culture, and plans to establish a foundation for youth employment and support stable living spaces.
To this end, the city plans to guarantee participation opportunities in various fields so that young people can proactively solve the challenges they face through the 'Youth Activity Network' and 'Youth Policy Forum.'
Various youth employment and startup programs will also be prepared. Centered around the youth job cafe 'e-room,' established in the lower village of Seolbong Park in the second half of last year, the city plans to expand employment and startup programs and promote youth challenge support projects targeting young people who have given up job searching.
New projects include ▲ youth startup mentor education consulting ▲ support for rental fees of youth entrepreneurs' workplaces ▲ youth challenge support ▲ operation of youth job cafe e-room programs ▲ support for settlement funds for young farmers.
Along with this, the city plans to reduce housing cost burdens and promote housing stability through support for youth monthly rent extensions and interest support for newlywed couples' jeonse and monthly rent loans.
A city official said, "We will steadily promote youth policies and provide more support for the future of young people."
