It has been identified that 63.7% of public institutions have introduced job-based pay.
On the 24th, the Ministry of Economy and Finance announced the "2023 Job-Centered Compensation System Reform Performance Review" based on this content.
Since 2021, the Ministry of Economy and Finance has been inspecting the introduction and operation performance of job-based pay for public enterprises and quasi-governmental institutions annually. This year, for the first time, 84 other public institutions were included in the inspection target, totaling 171 public institutions inspected. The inspection was conducted by a job-based pay inspection team composed of 16 experts in compensation systems, including labor attorneys and professors.
According to the inspection results, 109 public institutions have introduced job-based pay. By type, among public enterprises and quasi-governmental institutions, 70 institutions introduced the job-based pay system this year, an increase of 15 from 55 last year. Among other public institutions, 39 out of 84 institutions (46.4%) under inspection were found to have introduced it.
The government plans to deliver these results to the Public Institution Management Evaluation Group and reflect them in last year's public institution management performance evaluation. For other public institutions, the results will be shared with each relevant ministry so they can be utilized in departmental management evaluations.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance stated that it will continue to expand customized support to quantitatively increase and qualitatively improve institutions adopting job-based pay in the future.
