Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Lifelong Education Center's Choi Eun-mi Passes the 75th Master Hairdresser Certification Exam

Among 20 National Qualification Exam Passers, the Only One from Busan

Specialized College-Led Adult Lifelong Learning Continues to Bear Fruit

Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Tae-sang) Lifelong Education Center announced on the 24th that Choi Eun-mi, a student of the 1st class of the affiliated International Beauty Academy, recently passed the '75th National Master Hairdresser Examination' hosted by the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation.

The Master Hairdresser qualification exam is a national test conducted twice a year by the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation. Only those who have obtained the Hairdresser Technician qualification and have more than 7 years of field experience are eligible to apply.

Also, the exam is divided into six regions nationwide and tests the highest level of skilled professionals in the beauty field. In the 75th exam, 181 candidates nationwide took the test, and 20 passed. According to the university, Choi was the only successful candidate from Busan.

Choi, who runs a beauty salon in Busan, completed the 1st and 2nd Master Hairdresser training courses at Gyeongnam Information University Lifelong Education Center's International Beauty Academy and passed after two attempts.

Choi said, "I was able to pass thanks to the passionate teaching of professors who combined theory and practice," and expressed her aspiration, "I want to work hard and someday train future students."

President Kim Tae-sang said, "Gyeongnam Information University fulfills its social responsibility as a lifelong education institution, which has become a pillar of university education," adding, "It is encouraging to see the results of our efforts in adult learner education, and we will strive to become a university that contributes to the region through differentiated education encompassing adult learners, including the school-age population and international students."
