Polestar-Meizu Joint Venture 'Polstar Phone'
Electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar unveiled the Polestar Phone, developed for consumers in China, on the 23rd (local time).
The company held its own brand event at a studio in a park in Beijing ahead of Auto China 2024, which is being held in Beijing, China. Polestar was established in 2017 as a joint venture between Geely and Sweden's Volvo. It was formerly used to refer to Volvo's high-performance lineup but has since evolved into a premium electric vehicle brand under the joint venture.

The newly unveiled Polestar Phone was developed in collaboration between the Swedish Polestar design team and Meizu, a smartphone manufacturer under the parent company Geely Automobile Group in China. It is a dedicated smartphone developed for drivers of the coupe-style sports utility vehicle (SUV) Polestar 4, which was first revealed last year and recently launched.
The design was led by the Polestar Sweden design team, emphasizing Polestar's intuitive design identity. The user interface (UI), including desktop icons, is also simple. It was designed to harmonize well with Polestar's interior and center console.

The Polestar 4 is the fastest model among the brand's mass-produced vehicles and will be launched domestically in June. It is also a model entrusted for production at the Renault Korea plant in Busan next year.
