Gurye Buddhist Association Donates 10 Million Won for Neighborly Love in Gurye County

On the 20th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the Gurye Buddhist Association donated 10 million won in neighborly love funds to support neighbors in need within the county.

The Gurye Buddhist Association held a Buddha's Birthday lighting ceremony to widely spread the teachings of Buddha and pray for the development and peace of the local community. At this event, they collected donations from the monastic community and Buddhists and delivered the funds to Gurye-gun.

Deokmun Seunim, president of the Gurye Buddhist Association, said, “I hope this donation will be of some help to neighbors in need, and I pray that through Buddha’s compassion and sharing, the residents of Gurye will always live healthily and happily.”

Kim Soon-ho, the county governor, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We thank the Gurye Buddhist Association for their donation, and we will ensure that the warm-hearted funds are properly delivered to neighbors in need.”
