Nongshim Baeksansu is water that contains the energy of Baekdusan, naturally springing from the earth. This product springs from Naeducheon, located at an altitude of 670m on Baekdusan.

Since starting its bottled water business, Nongshim has prioritized the source of water. Since 2003, the company has traveled across Asia, Europe, Hawaii, and other parts of the world to find the best water source. As a result, Naeducheon, which has preserved pristine nature since ancient times, was chosen as the source for Baeksansu. The bottled water sourced from here and sold domestically is exclusively Nongshim Baeksansu.

Nongshim produces Baeksansu by connecting Naeducheon on Baekdusan, located 3.7 km away, to the production line through a separate waterway. The company explains that this process does not harm the pristine primeval forest of Baekdusan and there is no concern about water depletion.

Experts emphasize that good water is not simply water with a high mineral content, but water with an ideal composition ratio of key minerals. Water with a magnesium to calcium ratio close to 1 is classified as healthy water, and Baeksansu shows a ratio above 0.9.

Baeksansu’s excellence has also been recognized overseas, winning the highest award, the "Grand Prize," for two consecutive years in the bottled water category at Belgium’s "Monde Selection." Monde Selection, founded in Belgium in 1961, is a global evaluation organization that has been assessing and awarding consumer goods quality for 63 years. The bottled water category is judged on six criteria, including sensory evaluation using taste, sight, and smell, as well as scientific analysis. Baeksansu received an average score of over 90 points in each category. The judges praised Baeksansu as "an excellent water with unparalleled purity and freshness."
