Happo-gu Sanho-dong Community Security Council Hosts Healing Experience for Elderly Living Alone

The Sanho-dong Community Security Council in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held a "Healing Up! Singing Class" experience event for low-income elderly living alone in the area.

The singing class held on the 23rd was an event attended by a total of 75 people, including 50 low-income elderly individuals aged 70 to 90 living alone in the district, who often feel isolated due to age and health issues and spend more time alone than engaging in outside activities, along with helpers.


On this day, through sponsorship and talent donation, the event featured singing lessons, "I am also a singer," saxophone performances, invited singer performances, Pumba shows, refreshments, and lip balm distribution, enlivening and energizing the elderly for 1 hour and 30 minutes.


Im Woon-gyu, chairman of the Sanho-dong Community Security Council, said, "I am grateful to those who helped us hold this event for low-income elderly living alone in the area. Seeing the seniors smile and enjoy themselves today makes me truly happy, and we will continue to strive to create such opportunities in the future."


Meanwhile, since 2017, the Sanho-dong Community Security Council has been continuously strengthening its welfare community functions through the district’s specialized project "Banat Refrigerator Food Sharing," providing livelihood support, welfare checks, and birthday celebrations for the elderly to help neighbors in need.
