Gwangjin-gu Operates 1:1 Online Mentoring for University Students

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is operating a ‘1:1 Online Mentoring with University Students’ to support systematic college entrance exam preparation for examinees.

The 1:1 Online Mentoring with University Students is an admission support program where examinees can consult with university student mentors enrolled in their desired schools and departments. It will officially start on May 1.

Examinees participating in the mentoring can directly choose their preferred university student mentor and receive one-on-one counseling.

The counseling will be conducted online, and for 30 minutes, mentees will receive various know-how for establishing admission strategies, such as study methods and managing school records. Each examinee can receive up to two 1:1 mentoring sessions.

230 participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis through the Gwangjin-gu Office website until 6 p.m. on the 26th. Any student from 3rd grade middle school to 3rd grade high school or repeaters residing in Gwangjin-gu or attending schools in the area can apply for the online mentoring free of charge.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “In the rapidly changing college entrance environment, we prepared this mentoring program with seniors to help examinees who have many concerns about college preparation,” and added, “Gwangjin-gu will continue to expand admission support programs to help examinees establish successful entrance strategies.”
