Smart car software platform specialist OBIGO, Canadian media company Stingray, and French radio specialist Radioline have come together to pledge active development cooperation for in-vehicle audio entertainment services.
On the 23rd, OBIGO announced that key representatives from Stingray and Radioline visited OBIGO headquarters to discuss collaboration on In-Car Entertainment services. OBIGO plans to enhance the value of its mobility service platform and target overseas markets based on the global content owned by Stingray and Radioline.
Stingray is a global media tech company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange in Canada, currently serving over 500 million users across 160 countries. It provides services such as Stingray Karaoke, Calm Radio, Stingray Music, and Ultimate Trivia through various channels including △PC △mobile △TV △aircraft △hotels △cruises. The company has formed partnerships with global firms such as Tesla, BYD, YouTube, Amazon, Comcast, Roku, and Air Canada.
Radioline is a radio streaming specialist company with the industry's largest radio station and podcast database. In February of this year, Radioline signed an Asian supply partnership for vehicle radio services with OBIGO and is jointly exploring radio platform development and entry into the in-vehicle online advertising market.
Jim Riley, Vice President of Stingray’s U.S. branch, said, “We are very pleased to collaborate with OBIGO, a leading company in the smart car software platform field,” adding, “We hope this partnership will enable us to provide drivers with the best entertainment services in the automotive infotainment market.”
Xavier Filiol, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Radioline, stated, “OBIGO offers a high level of expertise that meets the requirements of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs),” and added, “Through this cooperation, we will provide innovative in-vehicle radio and podcast experiences.”
Do-Yeon Hwang, CEO of OBIGO, emphasized, “Global automakers are focusing on in-vehicle entertainment content and casual games that fill drivers’ leisure time inside the car,” and said, “We will continue to secure services from globally recognized content companies to build a mobility entertainment platform that will lead the upcoming software-defined vehicle (SDV) era.”
