On the day, Honorary Mayor Jeong received reports on major city administration tasks and held a meeting, then visited the Osan Fire Station to encourage frontline firefighters. He then visited the Youth Job Support Center 'Irujap' to hear explanations about Osan City's youth policies and toured the facility. Afterwards, Honorary Mayor Jeong visited the Osan Smart City Integrated Operation Center to check disaster and crime response situations through a demonstration of the intelligent CCTV control system, concluding his schedule.
Honorary Mayor Jeong expressed, "I had a valuable time to directly discuss and communicate various opinions to activate social contribution activities." Osan Mayor Lee Gwon-jae said, "We will operate the system so that honorary mayors, who are experts in each field, can directly participate in city administration and produce certain results for policy formulation."
Since 2010, Osan City has been operating the honorary mayor system, selecting areas of interest and directly verifying city operations through listening to the current status of city administration and site visits in the relevant fields.
