Cheongsong-gun proposes daily climate actions during Climate Change Week to encourage residents to practice carbon neutrality in their daily lives.

▲ Monday Climate Action Day - Turn off unnecessary lights ▲ Tuesday Climate Action Day - Conserve precious water ▲ Wednesday Resource Circulation Day - Separate and dispose of recyclables ▲ Thursday Green Consumption Day - Use low-carbon certified agricultural and livestock products ▲ Friday Eco-friendly Mobility Day - Walk or use a bicycle for short distances ▲ Saturday Lifestyle Practice Day - Reduce food waste ▲ Sunday Lifestyle Practice Day - Use mugs and tumblers instead of disposable items

Additionally, an event is held linking Climate Change Week with the carbon neutrality points system in the energy sector, offering promotional carbon neutrality items as gifts.

The carbon neutrality points system in the energy sector is a nationwide greenhouse gas reduction practice program that encourages households and businesses to reduce electricity, water, and other utility usage to lower greenhouse gas emissions, awarding carbon neutrality points based on the reduction rate.

Furthermore, Cheongsong residents who newly register for the carbon neutrality points system in the energy sector or existing members who verify their participation in the nationwide lights-off event via SNS can receive reusable insulated bags and eco-friendly scrubbers.

Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “Starting with this lights-off event, I hope many residents and organizations participate during Climate Change Week to raise awareness of the climate crisis and make carbon neutrality practices a part of everyday life.”
