Meeting with Overseas Dedicated Travel Agencies
Gyeongbuk Province and the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation (President Kim Nam-il) held a ceremony on the 22nd at the conference hall (Dalgaebi) in Jung-gu, Seoul, to present the designation certificates to the designated overseas travel agencies of Gyeongsangbuk-do and to hold a win-win cooperation meeting.

At the event, 22 representatives and officials from 16 designated overseas travel agencies selected through a nationwide public contest from February to March, along with officials from Gyeongbuk Province, gathered to reaffirm their commitment to a new start for attracting foreign tourists to Gyeongbuk in 2024.
In particular, this year, to actively attract foreign tourists and conduct Gyeongbuk-specialized tourism marketing activities, the number of designated overseas travel agencies was expanded by six from last year to 16, and the activity period was extended from one year to two years.
Gyeongbuk Province and the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation will support the selected overseas travel agencies for two years by providing support for fam tours for new Gyeongbuk content development, promotional expenses for tourism products both online and offline, incentives for registering Gyeongbuk tourism products on online travel agencies (OTA), support for overseas offline joint marketing activities, assistance in attracting foreign tourists to Gyeongbuk, and an additional 20% incentive for attracting group tourists, among other comprehensive marketing activities.
Kim Nam-il, President of the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation, said, “Based on Gyeongbuk’s excellent cultural and tourism resources, the public and private sectors will strategically cooperate to develop specialized products so that Gyeongbuk can grow into an international tourist city,” and added, “To fully recover the foreign tourist market, we will accelerate joint marketing with the designated travel agencies to ensure that many foreign tourists visit Gyeongbuk.”
The designated overseas travel agencies of Gyeongbuk Province are Nancy Tour, Daedongseong Travel Agency, Dawon USA, Sora Travel Planning, Seongseong Travel Agency, Travel Workshop, Younghan Travel Agency, Shinseung Travel Agency, Aju Incentive, Amuse, US Travel, Jeongho Travel Agency, JSB Tour & MICE, Premium Pass International, Hwaeun International Travel Agency, and TK Travel, totaling 16 agencies.
