Beyonde University Volunteer Group to Select 50 Members Starting from the 22nd
POSCO University Student Volunteer Group 'Beyond' is recruiting its 17th generation members.
Since 2007, POSCO has selected Beyond members and has nurtured over 1,400 sharing talents to date.
'Beyond' was founded in 2007 with the meaning of 'going beyond here and now to move further forward.' Over the past 10 years, it has conducted domestic and international architectural volunteer work. Since 2022, in line with the ESG management trend, the program has been revamped to carry out environmental conservation activities and educational volunteer work.
The 17th generation of Beyond members selected this year will create the 'Beyond Forest' at the Baekdudaegan National Arboretum with the launch ceremony in July. Following this, group planning volunteer activities and joint volunteer activities with the POSCO Talent Volunteer Group will be held in Gwangyang and Pohang. During the semester, regional group volunteer activities and self-directed volunteer activities are planned.
Additionally, volunteers will participate in overseas volunteer work, which is resuming for the first time in five years since 2020. The overseas volunteer work will take place during the winter vacation in January 2025, building water sanitation facilities and housing for vulnerable residents in the Cilegon area of Indonesia, where Krakatau-POSCO is located.
The 17th generation Beyond members will be 50 in number, and applications including self-introduction letters and UCC will be accepted on the official website for about two weeks starting April 22.
Any university student residing in Korea who wishes to sincerely participate in domestic and international volunteer activities from the summer vacation in July this year until February next year can apply regardless of region, major, or gender.
