Muan-gun Launches National Safety Week Campaign at Traditional Markets

Promotion of Safety Inspection Day Event... 'Together for a Safer Muan-gun'

On the 19th, Muan County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) held a National Safety Week campaign and the 303rd Safety Inspection Day event at the Muan Traditional Market, a multi-use facility, coinciding with the market day in Muan-eup.


According to the county on the 23rd, the campaign was hosted by Muan County and attended by the Muan Police Station, Model Drivers Association, and Green Mothers' Association. The public and private sectors jointly conducted a street march, distributed promotional materials, and raised awareness of traffic safety under the slogan "Safer Muan County Together" to prevent traffic accidents.

Governor Kim San stated, "Recently, various disaster accidents, including fatal ones caused by negligence regarding safety such as fires, have occurred," adding, "I hope this event serves as a moment to raise awareness about safety and encourages residents to reconsider their safety."


Meanwhile, National Safety Day is designated as April 16 every year under the Framework Act on the Management of Disasters and Safety to enhance public safety awareness. The week is operated as National Safety Week, during which nationwide safety campaigns and safety inspections are intensively held, contributing to the spread of a safety culture.
