Huvis is taking the lead in the market by showcasing automotive materials in Europe.
Huvis announced that it will participate in the industrial materials exhibition "Techtextil 2024," held in Frankfurt, Germany, from the 23rd to the 26th (local time).
Participating for the sixth time since its first appearance in 2013, Huvis will present a total of 10 products, including eco-friendly and high-performance differentiated materials, super fibers, and industrial materials. In particular, it will introduce new automotive materials such as "Ecoever LM" and "P-POL."
Ecoever LM is the world's first "chemically recycled LMF (Low Melting Fiber)" product developed using raw materials chemically recycled from waste plastics. LMF melts at a low temperature and is used as an adhesive for bonding other materials; in automobiles, it is used in interior components such as dashboards, headliners, seats, and door trims.
Chemical recycling differs from physical recycling, which degrades in quality with repeated recycling, by chemically breaking down PET polymers into low-molecular-weight states and then repolymerizing them, allowing recycling without quality degradation. Depending on the content of recycled raw materials, this eco-friendly process can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about half.
Additionally, P-POL is a product with high heat resistance and dimensional stability, used as a material for automotive interior and exterior parts such as wheel guards, headliners, and underbodies. It is attracting great interest in the global automotive market as it can replace polypropylene (PP), currently used for automotive interior and exterior materials, to comply with the European End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) Directive regulations effective from 2031.
Besides these, Huvis will introduce various products such as biodegradable PET, high-performance cooling fibers, and premium hygiene material and will work on expanding sales channels.
Kim Seok-hyun, CEO of Huvis, said, "We are pleased to introduce our excellent quality and technology in the European market, where regulations and interest in automotive materials are high. This will be a great opportunity to strengthen relationships with existing customers, discover new customers, and enhance our global competitiveness."
