In May, All Families in Gangdong-gu Gather for a Sports Day Event

Over 300 Families Participate in Sports Day at Gwangnaru Hangang Park Soccer Field on May 18
Water Gun Fights, Various Event Booths, Celebration Performances, and More... Pre-registration Open April 15-30

Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced that it will hold the "12th One Big Family Festival" on May 18 at Gwangnaru Hangang Park Soccer Field in celebration of the upcoming Family Month.

Hosted by Gangdong-gu and organized by the Gangdong-gu Family Center, this event will operate various programs and event booths from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, providing a variety of enjoyable activities and attractions for all family members to enjoy together.

The main event, the "Family Cheerful Sports Day," will be accompanied by ▲ celebratory performances (Mongolian traditional dance and magic) ▲ world culture playground booth experiences (India, Vietnam, etc.) ▲ children's water gun festival ▲ instant photo booth "Gangdong Family Cheerful Four-Cut" ▲ the 5th Couples' Day commemorative "Shorts Exhibition," with around 300 families from the district participating. The district expects this to be an opportunity to strengthen bonds among family members and foster communication with multicultural families.

Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, "I hope this event will be an opportunity for families to come together, understand each other, and communicate," adding, "We will continue to strengthen family support so that a culture of maintaining a healthy work-family balance can spread."

Pre-registration is available online via the QR code at the bottom of the poster from April 15 to 30, and any Gangdong-gu resident with children aged 4 or older (born in 2019) can participate.
