She is known for her powerful long drives followed by wedge shots to secure birdies. However, she does have weaknesses. Her play around the greens is not perfect. She has not recorded satisfactory numbers from bunkers. At the Chevron Championship, the first major of the 2024 LPGA Tour season (total prize money $7.9 million), Korda showcased flawless bunker play.

On the 21st (local time) at The Club at Carlton Woods (Par 72, 6,824 yards) in The Woodlands, Texas, USA, she boasted a 100% bunker save rate. Although she found bunkers four times in total?once on the first day, twice on the second day, and once on the final day?she demonstrated perfect short game skills and successfully saved par each time. She uses two types of wedges: TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 (50, 54 degrees) and Titleist Vokey SM9 WedgeWorks (58 degrees).

Her long drive remains strong as well. Using a TaylorMade Qi10 Max (10 degrees) driver, she averaged 272 yards over four days. On the first day, she nearly reached 300 yards (298 yards). Due to her long hitting power and ability to escape tough situations, she earned her fifth win of the season and 13th career victory after winning the T-Mobile Match Play on the 7th, receiving a winner’s prize of $1.2 million (approximately 1.6 billion KRW).

Since the LPGA Drive On Championship in January, Korda has impressively won five consecutive tournaments. She became the third player in LPGA Tour history to achieve five straight wins, following Nancy Lopez (USA) in 1978 and Annika Sorenstam (Sweden) in 2004?2005. She currently ranks first in wins, earnings, Player of the Year, scoring average, and CME Globe Race.
