A 'Todeogi' has appeared in the middle of the lake at Yeonji Park, Naedong, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam.
The Gimhae Cultural Foundation's Cultural City Center announced on the 22nd that it has prepared a public water exhibition of Gimhae's representative character 'Todeogi' to accelerate the promotion of major events held in Gimhae in 2024, such as the Year of Visit Gimhae, East Asian Cultural City, the National Sports Festival, and the National Para Games.
Todeogi is a character modeled after a duck-patterned pottery artifact from the Gaya period excavated from the Juchon Mangdeok-ri burial mound in Gimhae. It was created by the young Gimhae designer Sixmons Berliner as a duck with pottery on its head.
Since becoming a new symbol of Gimhae last November along with the brand slogan Gimhaeppy, it has established itself as the representative character of Gimhae City and the legal cultural city, as well as an honorary ambassador.

The large Todeogi water sculpture used in the water exhibition stands 10 meters tall.
The foundation plans to hold the exhibition at Yeonji Park until June 30. However, the exhibition period may change depending on weather and other conditions.
CEO Choi Seok-cheol said, "As the season is perfect for outings, I hope many people will come to see Todeogi again this year, following last year," and added, "I wish that Todeogi will settle as a new brand of Gimhae along with this year's mega events in Gimhae."
