26 Days After Music Release
Shortest Time for a K-pop Girl Group Debut Song
The group 'ILLIT's song 'Magnetic' has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. This is the fastest record among debut songs by K-pop girl groups.
According to Spotify on the 21st (local time), the title track 'Magnetic' from ILLIT's first mini-album 'SUPER REAL ME,' released on the 25th of last month, has accumulated 100,392,923 streams as of the 20th.
With this, ILLIT has achieved their first 100 million streams on Spotify, just 26 days after the song's release. This is a new record for the shortest time taken for a K-pop girl group's debut song to reach the same streaming count on Spotify.
ILLIT's monthly listeners on Spotify (number of listeners in the last 28 days) currently exceed 14 million. Compared to about 350,000 listeners on the day after their debut (March 26), this shows an explosive increase.
Previously, 'Magnetic' also entered the US Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100' and the UK's 'Official Singles Top 100,' setting new records. Both are the first and fastest achievements for a K-pop debut song.
'Magnetic' is a song that compares the feeling of being drawn to someone you like to a magnet. It was created with the participation of HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk and teenage producers.
