KakaoBank Launches Group Check Card... Offers Cashback Benefits

Up to 3,000 Won Cashback on Purchases Over 50,000 Won

Kakao Bank announced on the 22nd that it will launch the ‘Moim Check Card,’ an exclusive check card for Moim Account customers.

This card offers cashback promotion benefits. Any Moim owner can issue it. Every time you make a payment of 50,000 KRW or more, you will receive a real-time random cashback of either 3,000 KRW or 300 KRW without any payment limit. There are no restrictions based on the previous month’s performance or certain merchant categories, so the more you use it, the greater the benefits. However, cashback is provided only once per day for repeated payments at the same store.

You can issue the Moim Check Card additionally without canceling your existing Friends Check Card. Depending on the payment amount and merchant, you can choose to use either card. After payment, you can check the usage details of each card separately in real time on the ‘Card Usage History Page.’

The Moim Check Card is released in three designs. Customers can choose a card according to their preference, from the ‘RaChun Card’ featuring Kakao Friends’ Ryan and Chunsik characters to the ‘Moim Together’ card, which allows you to enter phrases suitable for your Moim.

An event will be held until the 24th of next month, where customers who apply for this card can win prizes worth 400 million KRW through a lottery. You can participate by applying for the ‘Moim Check Card’ on the event page within the Kakao Bank application (app). Through the lottery, 13,000 winning Moims will receive various prizes such as a 100,000 KRW dinner support fund (excluding taxes and public charges), department store gift certificates, and chicken exchange vouchers. If you win, the dinner support fund will be deposited into the Moim Account. Chicken exchange vouchers and department store gift certificates will be provided via KakaoTalk Gift.

A Kakao Bank official said, "Since many Moim Account customers make high-value payments of 50,000 KRW or more, we planned the ‘Moim Check Card’ to provide greater benefits," and added, "We will continue to enhance services for Moim Account users by adding various features that make Moim more convenient."
