CJ OliveNetworks announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting companies to participate in 'Whitehat Together Season 3,' a program supported by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and FinderGap to strengthen the information security capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies.

Since 2020, CJ OliveNetworks has been operating the social contribution program CJ Whitehat, providing free customized consulting services such as penetration testing, personal information compliance checks, and information security training, leading the practice of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.

Whitehat Together offers free information security consulting and supports customized security solutions for SMEs and mid-sized companies. In this Season 3, the scope has been expanded to include universities. Additionally, university student participants are being recruited to enhance their vulnerability analysis skills through strengthened online education benefits.

Whitehat Together Season 3 will hold a bug bounty competition in July and August to strengthen the information security systems of the 20 selected companies and universities. CJ OliveNetworks will support the validation of vulnerabilities discovered during the bug bounty competition and provide information security consulting. Even after the free vulnerability and information security consulting, continuous management will be supported by providing implementation checklists to ensure that each company maintains its information security level.

Furthermore, for university students aspiring to become information security experts, CJ OliveNetworks will provide opportunities to gain practical experience through mentoring on job roles and career paths by arranging meetings with current white hackers and information security professionals from CJ OliveNetworks.

Among SMEs and mid-sized companies wishing to participate in Whitehat Together, up to 20 companies providing IT-based services such as websites, mobile apps, and client software will be selected through screening. The evaluation criteria focus on the business sustainability of the applicant companies, the urgency of information security, and the effectiveness of consulting.

Yoo In-sang, CEO of CJ OliveNetworks, said, "It is realistically difficult for SMEs and mid-sized companies to operate their own information security organizations, so their security capabilities are weaker compared to large corporations. Through the public-private-academic cooperation program Whitehat Together, we will actively support companies struggling with information security tasks to strengthen their information security capabilities."
