Participation in Busan Youth Joy Car Project
Provision of New Arkana E-Tech Hybrid
Renault Korea will provide 150 hybrid sport utility vehicles (SUVs) to young workers in transportation-vulnerable areas of Busan.
On the 22nd, Renault Korea announced that it will supply the 'New Renault Arkana E-Tech Hybrid' for the Busan Youth Joy Car support project, which Busan City is implementing to maintain employment for young people working at small and medium-sized enterprises located in transportation-vulnerable areas.
The Busan Youth Joy Car support project provides vehicles and monthly rental fees for up to two years to young workers employed at companies located in industrial complexes in Gangseo-gu and Gijang-gun, Busan, where transportation infrastructure such as urban rail lines is insufficient. Previously, Renault Korea supported vehicles for this project from its inception in 2018 through 2021.
To apply for this year's project, applicants must submit their applications through the Busan Job Information Network website by the 31st of next month. Eligible applicants are young residents of Busan aged between 21 and 39 who have been newly employed within the past two years at small and medium-sized enterprises located in Gangseo-gu and Gijang-gun, Busan. A total of 150 people will be selected, and Busan City will provide 200,000 KRW monthly for two years. The applicant's contribution is 330,000 KRW for those aged 26 and over, and 380,000 KRW for those under 26.
The new Arkana E-Tech Hybrid provided to Busan youth this year is a coupe-style SUV featuring Renault's new emblem, launched earlier this month. In urban driving sections at speeds below 50 km/h, it can operate in electric vehicle mode for up to 75% of the travel distance.
