Recruitment of 81 Interns Aged 15 to 34
Ulsan City announced on the 22nd that it will promote the ‘2024 Public Institution Youth Intern Recruitment Project’ to strengthen the employment capabilities and career development of unemployed youth.
This project, jointly promoted by Ulsan City and public institutions, is a program to hire 81 youth interns at seven public institutions to actively create jobs centered on the public sector and meet the diverse work experience needs of young people.
Eligibility requirements are unemployed youth aged 15 to 34 who have an address in Ulsan City as of the announcement date. The participating institutions are ▲Ulsan Facilities Corporation ▲Ulsan Research Institute ▲Ulsan Urban Corporation ▲Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency ▲Ulsan Credit Guarantee Foundation ▲Ulsan Technopark ▲Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency, totaling seven institutions.
The recruitment timing and methods are autonomously conducted by each hiring institution according to their job roles and budget situations, and applicants can refer to each institution’s website for details.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “We hope that the youth participating in this project will gain practical experience as interns, providing opportunities for career exploration and a stepping stone to grow as local talent,” adding, “We will do our best to create a Ulsan where young people want to stay and work, and where youth are happy, through expanding various youth job opportunities and capacity-building projects.”
The public institution youth intern recruitment project has been promoted since 2017 and is now in its eighth year. Up to last year, a total of 431 local youth have had opportunities to experience public institution jobs.
Ulsan City is also promoting the ‘Administrative Experience Youth Intern Project’ and the ‘University Student Part-time Job Project’ to provide youth with work experience in the public sector, with about 360 young people participating this year.
