Baedal Minjok 'Jangbogi Marathon' Let's Run Together

Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced on the 22nd that the '2024 Grocery Shopping Open Run' will be held on June 9th at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Participants will fill a prepared basket with desired items at popup spaces along the running course and complete a 5 km run. Those who finish the course will get to keep all the products in their shopping baskets upon crossing the finish line.

Baemin has set up a large mart-style 'Deuktem Zone' at the starting point, preparing around 60,000 products. The products consist of about 20 brands including food, beverages, and daily necessities sold through Baemin B Mart and Baemin Store. Participants can fill their baskets with as many products as they want from the Deuktem Zone at the start.

At the event space, various zones will be operated, including a 'Musoyu Cart' where participants can temporarily put down items during the run, a hydration station themed like a mart tasting corner to recharge energy, and event zones where participants can experience tattoo stickers, photo booths, and more.

Additionally, participants who showcase distinctive 'Grocery Shopping Looks' will be awarded the 'Best Dresser Award,' and those who complete the run carrying the heaviest shopping basket will receive the 'Best Deuktem Award.' A congratulatory performance by singer 10CM is also planned.

Tickets for participation can be purchased on the official Grocery Shopping Open Run website. The first round of early bird tickets will be sold from the 22nd at 28,000 KRW on a first-come, first-served basis, and the second round of regular tickets will be available from the 24th at 33,000 KRW.

All proceeds from the Grocery Shopping Open Run will be donated to 19 child welfare centers under the Songpa-gu Office in Seoul. Tickets can be purchased online starting today. Yeon Goeun, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Woowa Brothers, said, "The Grocery Shopping Open Run is the first 'Deuktem Running' event attempted in Korea, created to offer customers a new grocery shopping experience."
